About
About KiwiDrive
KiwiDrive is a Road Code practice test for the NZ car (Class 1) learner licence theory test. You practise on your phone with full-length tests in the real test format, and the questions you get wrong come back until you get them right.
Who runs KiwiDrive?
KiwiDrive is run by Kiwico, a small Auckland-based team building simple online services for New Zealanders. KiwiDrive is our first.
Where do the questions come from?
Our questions are based on the official NZ Road Code and follow the real theory test format. They are not the questions used in the real test.
Every practice test has 35 multiple-choice questions and a 30-minute timer, and you need 32 correct to pass, just like the real test.
How are the questions kept up to date?
We check the questions when the Road Code is updated, and fix any mistake as soon as it's reported. If you think an answer is wrong, email support@kiwico.online.
Is KiwiDrive official?
No. Unofficial practice tool. Not affiliated with, endorsed by or produced by NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi. You book and sit the real theory test through NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi. Practising helps you prepare, but it can't guarantee a pass.
What does it cost?
You can try 10 free questions with no sign-up. After that, packs of 10 or 20 full practice tests are a one-off payment (NZ$7 for 10 tests or NZ$10 for 20 tests), with no subscription and no expiry. Full refund within 7 days of purchase if you have started fewer than 2 practice tests since that purchase. See the refund policy.
How do I contact you?
Email support@kiwico.online and we'll reply within 2 business days. See the contact page.
